Eric is a litigator, with experience in all phases of federal and state court litigation, and alternative dispute resolution. He has also handled a wide variety of corporate matters, and has dealt extensively with the Pacific Basin.
Recent litigation includes representing a major real estate owner seeking arrears exceeding $2 million under a lease guarantee. He obtained summary judgment on liability, and unanimous affirmance by the Appellate Division. Other recent matters include defense and settlement of a large real estate arbitration and obtaining a settlement for a customer of a national brokerage firm for claims of improper trading.
Eric’s recent corporate work includes advising a start-up project for providing remote medical testing and diagnoses using the internet, drafting a master service agreement for a website design firm and negotiating and drafting a consulting agreement for web-based cardiology information.
Eric was previously with the Pacific Basin group at Hughes, Hubbard and Reed, and spent a year in Tokyo at Nishimura & Sanada (now Nishimura & Asahi), Japan’s largest law firm.
An avid fly angler, Eric has worked on a variety of freshwater conservation issues and initiatives, served on the National Leadership Council of Trout Unlimited and is the author of Flyfisher’s Guide to New York, now in its third printing.
